How do I create a new room?
Go to the Join a Dice Room page. If you're logged in, click on the Plus icon next to your "My Dice Rooms" list, then enter the name of your new room. If you're not logged in, you can enter the name of a new room in the field that asks you for a room name. Make sure your room name is unique or you may get some unexpected visitors ;)
Can I use this to play any type of game?
In short: no. Rolz is designed for roleplaying games. If you're not sure what that is, you're probably at the wrong place right now. Some people use Rolz for fantasy football leagues and such. That is not supported, and I believe Rolz is not suitable for such things. Please also make sure that your usage of Rolz is not in violation of the terms and conditions.
I have forgotten my password!
There is no password reset function on Rolz. This is a byproduct of Rolz not asking for your email address or similar information. If you lose the password to your nickname, you'll need to make another one. If your nickname goes unused for a few months, and you'd really like it back, send me a request by email.
Why does the Lobby exist?
The Lobby is a special public dice room where people can try out Rolz. Do not expect anything from it. Very few people stop by there, it's probably not a good place to make contact with other people. Please also do not use the Lobby for running games.
How can I delete a room?
Follow the instructions in the help wiki on the topic of dice room administration, specifically: closing a room.
Is it possible to clear the entire room?
No. If you'd like to start over, close the room and create a new one.
I want my content removed.
First of all, while Rolz dice rooms are not public, they're not explicitly private either. Do not post personally identifiable information on there. Rolz knows nothing about you except your chosen username and your password, and I want to keep it that way. In special cases, drop me a request by email.
I have demands!
This is a private hobby project for me, Rolz does not make any money. There are no ads on Rolz, no user tracking. If you want to chip in regarding the server cost, I welcome you to join the Patreon tip jar. I want you to know that I don't have the time or the resources to respond to every request. I will comply with legal requests and demands conforming to EU and US regulations - but please keep the amount of harassment to an absolute minimum. I understand that sending EU privacy data deletion requests is fun for some people, but I urge you to throw that at websites that are actually hoarding your data (and doing so for profit).
