A Fatigued or Exhausted character is vulnerable to the myriad of diseases that infest Morytania. Once per day of Fatigue or Exhaustion, a character must make a Fortitude check to resist disease.
Fatigued DC: 10 + # of days Fatigued
Exhausted DC: 15 + # of days Exhausted
If Medicine is in stock, you do not have to make this check. If medicine comes after becoming sick, it is cured the next day.
Upon failure of a check, a D10 is rolled. A sickened character takes -2 to ALL ROLLS, as well as one of the following effects.
1: You feel a bit achy. (-2 Agility)
2: You come down with a case of the sniffles. (-2 Thieving)
3: You catch a cough. (-4 Thieving, -2 CHA)
4: You feel extraordinarily weak. (-2 STR)
5: Your mind is muddled with how miserable you feel. (-2 INT, -2 WIS)
6: You show signs of the Ghoul Fever. (-4 CHA, -1 CON)
7: You manage to get some nasty gout. (-4 DEX)
8: You suffer from a serious fever. (-2 CON, -2 DEX, -2 STR)
9: You develop Rot Lung. (-4 CON, -4 DEX, -2 STR, -8 Thieving)
10: You catch the Sanguinesti Affliction. (-6 INT, -6 WIS) Leads to TEMPORARY CHARACTER LOSS
When medicine comes back in stock, you are cured the next day. However, if medicine is not going to be an option, do not fret. Your body has a chance to fight off the disease itself. You must make a fortitude save with a DC twice as much as the disease you rolled. For example:
You come down with gout (7). You can make a Fortitude save once per day to try to get over it. The DC you must make is twice the disease, in this case, 14 (7 x 2).
