Item Make Bonuses
Items are made out of various materials, and some are inherently better than others. At adjust for this, different materials give different bonuses and are generally around the same strength as in-game.
Rebalancing the bonuses that item makes give to help reduce the amount of damage dealt and taken. New, proposed bonuses are on the right in parenthesis. Effectively, it is reducing current bonuses by 3. This is a universal change, both players and npcs will be subject to these changes.

His base attack is +3, and the wand's accuracy modifier is +1. In total, he has +4 to hit. He has 14 (+2) WIS, so his bonus damage would be a total of +3, +2 for his WIS modifier and +1 for the imphide wand's quality. A level 5 defensive warrior is wearing full, heavy steel armor.
Heavy armor gets 6 AC off the bat, and gets an additional +2 for the steel quality. The total AC bonus for wearing the armor is +8.
