Arnold "Handelmort" Palmer is a Crawling Hand found in a sack of rotten produce by Elzbeth. Originally in the employ of a Perfectly Normal Vyrelord, Handelmort has come to stay in Burgh de Rott and associate with the remnants of the Myreque for unknown reasons. He seems to have an uncanny attachment to Calsidiu.

• Handelmort's real name was revealed when he tagged along with Elzbeth to investigate a Perfectly Normal Chef outside of Canifis.
• He has been known to be extraordinarily smart and sneaky for a Crawling Hand, and has assisted in reconnaissance of several dangerous areas.
