Zombies are reanimated corpses still cloaked in rotted flesh. Generally slower and weaker than skeletons, zombies are easy to outrun but notoriously hard to kill. They feel no pain, and their bones are cloaked in rotted flesh that dampens the crushing blows of maces and clubs.
Your best bet is earth spells, but proper dismemberment will put an end to any zombie very quickly. Remember to decapitate the body and destroy the head. It is the best way to ensure proper disposal of a zombie.
