In Burgh De Rott, Gwendolyn, Athena and Kalligan, a newcomer, investigated the strange sound of scratching coming from one of the shacks to the northern side of Burgh. The creature causing these sounds, some kind of experiment, half-vampyric, half-rat, was found and swiftly killed, before being reduced to ash. However, when the three returned to the bar, which has been adapted to a small room for Gwendolyn to sleep in, they found that Connor was finally awake - and active.
After Connor, who was unusually energetic, was told about what had happened to Guy (See - A Bittersweet Victory ), he immediately headed downstairs, requesting a comm-gem from Gwendolyn. through some unknown magics, he make a link to The Judge with the gem, and began a ritual requiring both his own blood, after a quick bit of purification, and Gwendolyn's blood.
The ritual's referred to in the personal notes, however the ritual was a success. The Judge could be heard, claiming that it was his "parting gift" to the Myreque, and that it had no cost, though he hinted that Guy's soul may belong to him. Whether this means in the current world or the afterlife is...currently unknown.
However, Guy was not without...issue. The gemstone linked to The Judge is still in his chest, presumably inset into his heart, his flesh is still tinged a slight green color, though is slowly turning back over time, and a strange, red-and-black colouration seems to be stained onto his chest, spiraling from his heart in all directions across his body.
After this was over, Gwendolyn scolded Connor (in the form of punching him /into/ the stone wall), before Connor explained that he did what he did because he refused to let an ally die - And at the same time faulted Calsidiu for such actions. Gwendolyn then bandaged up Connor's wounds, and Guy is, for the time being, still unconscious but alive.
Connor's awake, and he will be under my care until he is seen as fit and able again. I will /not/ let him be put in harm's way again, not like he was.
Also Guy is alive again, he seems well though a little odd. But he is under strict quarantine within the base and to be kept away from some amulet of his. Connective affairs are going to cause us trouble so it is best we don't allow them to happen, right? I refer to his brother, there's another report on him.
Beware the voices.
I can't believe Connor struck a deal with the Judge right in front of me! The evil in the air was so thick I could /taste/ it! And no amount of snail meat is going to get rid of /that/ flavor.
He sold the Bard's soul, used sacred oil, and injured both himself and me in some convoluted scheme to get him back for reasons that he won't share.
And worst of all, Connor has the gall to try to guilt-trip Calsidiu over not trying to save him when he fell from the Mieyerditch tower.
I don't know if this is even the same man.
Oh, you're actually going to read this for once, Cal Isaac?
I saved him, you coward. I did what you couldn't do.
I actually saved one of us for a gods-damned change.
