Back to Lore
The average Moryutanian human is uneducated and unskilled. They spend their time eking out an existence in the dead marshes or one of the blood-farming ghettos if they haven't been assigned to a workforce. Of course, there are exceptions to everything but those can be few and far in between.
With all the education and armor you have, all you have to go off of are the old wives tales of vampyres. They're afraid of garlic and crosses, and are killed with a wooden stake through the heart. Oh, how woefully unprepared you are...
Without fail, all vampyres are of an evil alignment. Some believe the process in making new vampyres twists and warps the mind of the individual, making them adhere to the vampyres' goals. They are selfish, and only act kindly toward others if it directly benefits them. As soon as it is more profitable to them to betray a friend, they will do so. Deals with vampyres are generally a terrible idea, as their word means nothing.
Vampyres are also extremely overconfident in their abilities, and when faced with a superior force, will flee to live another day. They heavily look down upon all other races as mere cattle, or in the best of cases, pets.
True-Born vampyres are at the top of society and alone have the ability to taste emotions in blood. Converted vampyres that have gained enough power, and all True-Born vampyres, posses the ability to shapeshift. They can perfectly mimic a human shape, a bat-like humanoid-shape, and their full-vampyre form.
Werewolves are gruff survivalists. All that are able hunt, and nearly all bear great resentment toward humanity, and Saradominists in particular, for imprisoning them east of the Salve and slaying their ancestors. The werewolves of Canifis hold a very strong animosity toward the Myreque, as a few years prior the Myreque set fire to Canifis to free imprisoned Myreque.
Werewolves value the lives of other werewolves above all else, as their numbers are dangerously low and they have an abysmally terrible birth rate. Murder of a werewolf will earn the killer a lifetime of being hunted by the victim's former pack.
Werewolves are nearly identical to humans, save for the whites of their eyes being black as well as their blood. Their attitudes, however, are particularly rude and hostile to all non-werewolves or vampyres. Most serve vampyres willingly, having bought into the propaganda spread by the vampyres. However, some do begrudgingly serve the vyres and have the capability to be swayed against them.
They, like humans, must pay blood tithes. However, they are allowed to hunt free-roaming humans to fill their quota. If their quota is not met, a werewolf is sacrificed instead. This, coupled with their low birthrate and high value on werewolve lives, gives werewolves a particularly potent fervor in which they hunt humans. If you come across a hunting party, there is virtually no chance of persuading them to leave you be.
