Restoring the Meiyerditch Base
Myreque

The base can be a valuable location for us once again.

I'm approving Connor's idea to restore the old base as a back-up or even a forward-operations base. After you clear it out and secure it, we can see about getting living supplies stocked in the base.

Skills: Agility, Thieving, Dungeoneering.

Reward: Access to a Safe Zone in Meiyerditch.

Base Experience: 30

Calsidiu's Report

We were able to re-secure the base and rediscover Kaizer, but we lost Connor along the way. He and Proteus were assigned to be the recon team and secure the Meiyerditch location before we sent any supplies or additional personnel, but the whole operation went tits up from the get-go.

According to Proteus, they were immediately spotted upon entry to the 'Ditch and were caught red-handed with illegal weapons and armor. They attempted to flee, but were ambushed by a squad of vyrewatch laying in wait. Connor was able to pull the Personal Tithe card, but Proteus wasn't so lucky. He attempted to use his flamecaster to stun the Vyrewatch, but Connor struck the rigging of his flamecaster and caused it to explode. This everyone in the area and allowed them to escape immediate peril.

However, they were chased through the buildings of the 'Ditch by countless and relentless vyrewatch. In their hurry to get to a safe-zone, they hastily climbed the highest towers in the 'Ditch. Connor opted to go first to jump between the towers. Instead, he took a lethal fall to the ground below and his body was taken by the 'watch.

Proteus made it to the base and comm'd in for support when he realized he wasn't alone. I arrived shortly and helped him decipher the writing on the walls and revealed the sole tenant of the base: Kaizer. A recruit from months ago I had assumed died with everyone else.

After things began to settle, the others showed up with supplies to furnish the base. The mood was somber, and I had to give the no-rescue order. We cannot risk getting everyone killed for someone who may very well be dead already. Connor, I know you won't forgive me but I have to uphold my duty to those who are left.
