The Mort Myre swamps is a ghastly stretch of swampland in west-central Morytania. Originally a lush forest called Humblethorn, it is now a slag of bogs and haunted marshes. The unnatural forces inside the swamp rapidly decay everything, even living beings. Ghasts, spirits of those who died of hunger in the swamps, will drain your life force or rot your provisions unless you are warded by a charged druid pouch.
1. The Bridge to the Mort'ton Trail: Often crudely called the Snail Trail, this is the only southern exit to the marshes.
2. The Nature Grotto: Protected by the empowered spirit of Filliman Tarlock, the Nature Grotto is the only safe haven inside the swamps. Nature blooms there and it is a nexus of spiritual energy.
3. The Hollows Pass: A small clearing in the thick brush allows for access to the Hollows.
4. The Canifis Clearing: One of the two northern entrances to the swamps. It is not gated, but it is in close proximity to Canifis.
5. The Gate: "Guarded" by the frightful Ulizius, this gate was built by Paterdomus to keep fresh western mercenaries from wandering into the deathtrap that is the Mort Myre unchecked.
