The stoic Gargoyles may at first seem almost like a rock elemental, but they are actually demons. Cheeky, hard-headed little buggers. They are very aggressive, and will attack all who enter their territory with punishing claws and crushing fists. Despite their rocky body, they possess the ability to hover over the ground. This also makes the beat of their wings dangerous, as it should feel approximately like being run over by a Minotaur if you are hit with them. The best defense against them will be specially enchanted mage’s gear to dampen their strikes.
If you are going to fight them, do so as if you are fighting a rock. That means don’t try to stab, cut, or shoot it. That would be very amusing to watch for third parties, but very deadly for you. Water spells and crushing weapons work wonders on these, as does Holy Water.
