Filliman Tarlock, also known as the Nature Spirit, was a Guthixian druid who lived as a hermit in the Mort Myre swamps. He actively helped refugees meander their way safely through the deadly marshlands by manipulating nature to open up paths. Eventually, however, he was betrayed by a group of people he was guiding. After this Filliman continued to help travelers, albeit hidden from them.
Eventually, Filliman met a brutal end and his spirit clung to his old campsite in the Mort Myre without becoming a ghast. Some years later an adventurer sent by Drezel to check on him helped him come to terms with his demise. With aid from the adventurer, Filliman was able to complete a druidic ritual that transformed him into a Nature Spirit.
Using his newfound powers, he warded his campsite and regrew plants and vines of all sorts inside his grotto. He also created an altar to nature, and reactivated a summoning obelisk deeper inside his grotto. There is a well inside the grotto that is said to bestow strange objects on those who toss in enough coin.
Filliman presides over his campsite and gives aid to those who pass by, though the evils of Morytania often work to end his meddling. He blesses sickles made of silver that are dipped in the waters of his altar, enabling them to cast Bloom so long as the wielder is blessed. By collecting nature's bounty and placing it in a specially crafted pouch, the pouch can make ghasts corporeal enough for physical attacks.
