  • Atmoshpere: Lawlessness, ruled by strength.
  • Leader: Morbed
Description

The Broken Blade Eyrie is an encampment of raiders, brigands, and other unscrupulous sorts based in a cliffside cave and the rocky trail leading to it about a day's march from Hope Rock. It is a rough, frontier warcamp where the leader is chosen by the right of might. The patron god of the camp seems to be the "Big High War God," and the inhabitants enjoy physical conflict with a particular zeal.

Structures

The main structures of the encampment are various tents made with a patchwork of leathers from every animal concievable and whatever woods that were salvageable. There is a small railing made with the rib bones of large nail beasts that keep travelers from walking off the edge into oblivion below. The camp is decorated with torches, skulls, and most prominently near the entrance of the Eyrie: vampyre heads. There is a heavy emphasis on war paint and with the plentiful snails of the marshes, the camp's tents bear awe-inspiring and fear-inducing iconography.

Notable Details

There is a working forge tended by a hobgoblin that vents into a smaller cave system inside the cliff. They use an old lead counterweight as their anvil.

There is a trader who accepts gold as well as other items.

The largest and most decorated hut is apparently the personal residence of the current chieftan, Morbed.

There is a drinking hut that serves homebrewed liquors and beer. The rumors claim that only moonlight mead tastes worse than the swill produced here.
