A bit of a newb here. Could you please let me know how to roll a D66 (where one dice is the tens and one is the units)? at the moment a 'D66' roll will give me a number between 1 and 66, when it should really be between 11 and 66. Is there another way to roll this?
Hey Timothias, thanks for asking. I think the confusion comes primarily from the fact that "D66" although a catchy name, is somewhat of a misnomer for most people who think in standard dice codes. Like you said, it's really D6*10+D6 - and that's exactly how you roll it:
d6*10+d6 = 36ℹ (3 * 10 + 6)
Awesome, thank you! I couldn't make that work before, but I can now do so, as long as I do not include the '#' at the front.
I'm not sure what you mean with the '#' - you do need to include the # at the front when rolling in a dice room. Alternatively, you can enclose the code in square brackets. Those should be equivalent. Not putting the # in front causes your text to be interpreted as just text.
Except maybe if you're not talking about the dice rooms, I don't know..?
Wouldn't d6x11 give the 11 >>> 66 range?
I depends on what exactly you wanted, from my understanding,
d66 will give you a number between 1 and 66, with an even distribution,
D610+D6 will give you a number from 11-16, 21-26, 31-36, 41-46, 51-56, 61-66. again even distribution.
d611 will give 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, or 66 again even distribution.
11d6 will give any number between 11 and 66, but without an even distribution.
d610 + d10 will give a number between 11 and 70, even distribution.
