I'm trying to create a macro that will roll attack and damage for all of my attacks at once. So I have a lvl 5 fighter that gets 2 attacks but also swings offhand weapon. So that would be primary attack 1, offhand attack 1, primary attack 2. I create a macro such as:
/macro def melee shortsword +1 [d20+7] dmg [d6+4], offhand shortsword [d20+6] dmg [d6+3], shortsword +1 [d20+7] dmg [d6+4]
it saves successfully, but when I use the macro via #melee, here is the result:
JaySan rolls melee = 0 ( () ) die:D6
However, if I just use the command: shortsword +1 [d20+7] dmg [d6+4], offhand shortsword [d20+6] dmg [d6+3], shortsword +1 [d20+7] dmg [d6+4]
I get successful rolls like this:
shortsword +1 [ d20+7 = 13 (6 + 7) ] dmg [ d6+4 = 9 (5 + 4) ] , offhand shortsword [ d20+6 = 9 (3 + 6) ] dmg [ d6+3 = 4 (1 + 3) ] , shortsword +1 [ d20+7 = 19 (12 + 7) ] dmg [ d6+4 = 6 (2 + 4) ]
I tried playing around with quotes, parenthesis, comments, etc and cannot figure out how to get the macro to work. Any help?
Thanks in advance,
Hey Ltldogg, thanks for writing in about this. Macros don't support these inline dice codes, and to be honest I kinda forgot about that over the months... I agree it should be fixed though, I'll take care of it.
Any update to including text with macro rolls?
